The band Da Fustra (the name means "The rock in the foaming sea"), have been around for a good few years and are still so popular that they were voted Scottish Dance Band of the Year in 2004 Scots Trad Music Awards. Da Fustra are: Cecil Hughson (bass guitar & business manager), Peter Wood (accordion & music arranger), James Leask (accordion), Pauleen Wiseman (piano), Brian Morrison (piano). Da Fustra normally plays music suitable for a typical Shetland dance including two-steps, waltzes, marches, reels and jigs.
