The Intelligent Zoom feature on still images makes this range extendable to 32x thanks to Intelligent Resolution Technology which separates key areas of image detail so that sharpness is not lost.

Leica Lens Quality
The FZ48 comes equipped with Leica DC Vario-Elmarit optics with Nano Surface Coating and f/2.8-5.2 maximum aperture. In short it produces sharp, punchy images that are bright and without unwanted reflections.

Full HD Movies
Using the higher transfer processing speed CCD you can record extra smooth and detailed movies in full 1920 x 1080 quality - in AVCHD format (or MP4 for easy computer editing if desired). Dolby Digital Stereo Creator gives great sound reproduction and the dedicated video record button makes it easier than ever to access the video recording mode without fiddling with other controls.

Power O.I.S. Active Mode
This high power image stabiliser is ideal for video recording and works during zoom operation so that even when you’re walking or filming fast moving subjects you won’t get wobbly or blurred results.
